AI Translation - GO Translate (the "Extension") helps you translate text quickly in your browser. This page explains what data the extension collects, how it is used, and the age requirements to use the extension.
User-provided text: Any text you type or paste into the extension, or text you select and send for translation, is processed to provide translations. That text may be transmitted to the translation service provider (Google Cloud Translation API) for processing.
Local data: Translation history and favorites are stored locally in your browser's extension storage. You control this data and can clear it at any time from the extension UI.
Usage data: We may store lightweight usage counters locally (e.g., App Store clicks, QR scans) to help improve the product. These analytics do not contain your text content.
Microphone: If you use voice input, the browser's speech recognition may access your microphone. Speech recognition is performed by the browser/third-party service — the extension does not store raw audio recordings by default.
Text sent for translation is used only to provide translation results. Translation requests are sent to the translation provider (Google Cloud Translation API) as described below.
The extension uses the Google Cloud Translation API to perform translations. When you request a translation, the text may be transmitted to Google's servers and processed according to Google's privacy policy. We do not control Google's handling of that data. History and favorites are stored locally in your browser using the Chrome storage API. You can clear history and favorites from the extension's History modal or by uninstalling the extension.
The extension is intended for general audiences. By using the extension you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction). If you are under 13 (or under the applicable minimum age), please obtain parental or guardian permission before using the extension. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We take reasonable steps to protect locally stored data. However, no system is completely secure. Please avoid pasting highly sensitive personal data into the extension.
Clear history and favorites from the History modal in the extension. To remove all extension data, uninstall the extension. If you need assistance, contact the developer (see below).
